Working on Assassin’s Creed was an immensely rewarding creative experience. Being a big fan of Director Justin Kurzel’s work, it was amazing to immediately establish a great working relationship together.

Assassin’s Creed
One of my favorite elements from the film is the Animus — the machine that allows its user to read and analyze a subject’s genetic memory, projecting those memories into three-dimensional space. Building its visual language was a defining challenge of the project.

The Animus
One of my favorite elements from the film is the Animus — the machine that allows its user to read and analyze a subject’s genetic memory. These memories can then be projected onto an external screen where they can be viewed and interacted with in three-dimensional space.

Film Stills
These are a few shots of our work that made it into the final print of the film. Seeing the designs fully realized on screen — integrated seamlessly into the world of Assassin’s Creed — was a deeply satisfying moment.

Title Sequence
Director Justin Kurzel liked the idea of branding and introducing the world of Assassin’s Creed through the look and feel developed for the Animus. Although this concept didn’t make the final cut, we had an amazing time building the frames and title design.
